I love the personal style orbit image. I tend to think of personal style more as a constant interaction between me and the various outer orbits, but that tends to lead to confusion. I like the clarity of your thinking!

Thanks Tiia - I think this is my homage to all the science classes I didn't really pay attention to in school!

My favourite trouser silhouette at the moment is a high-waisted wide-leg trouser that stops just above the ankle. Perfect with a heel or a flat sandal.

Yes! Love this look. The ankle length is so versatile.

It really is. Was introduced to it by an Indian label called The Summer House, which does really elegant coord sets. Perfect for hot weather.

What a lovely name for a clothing label. I am also really feeling a matching set, esp for spring/summer :)

Oh man. What a fabulous title; self centered wardrobe! I am still desperately trying to find the space between buying things that are for me and buying things because exposure therapy has made me want it. I sound like a broken record for anybody that follows me, but I find the most inspiring place lately is my Whering app where I’ve digitized my wardrobe, and I can play with styling my very own pieces. I don’t always have the energy to try on 100 different outfits, but I do have the energy to sit on my couch and make 100 different outfits out of flat lays of my wardrobe. Ha!

Kelly, I was just thinking about Cher's oh-so-high-tech outfit generator from Clueless ... I'm off to check out this amazing app!!

There’s a bit of legwork to get it set up but it’s TOTALLY worth it!! So fun!

I am similarly obsessed with Stylebook app and my friends do not want to hear about it anymore. But I’ve absolutely seen massive benefits to how I plan outfits and plan shopping. Found this one through the excellent podcast Articles of Interest. But I hear great things about Whering too.

I'm still waiting for a way to IKEA hack my closet so that it auto-rotates and delivers a crisp outfit like Cher's! :D

It's funny how we can be so into something and wear it for x amount of time and then wake up one day and never want to wear it again.

I've swapped out skinny jeans for straight leg, unless they are black. Overall I'm wanting looser bottoms. I really liked the look of the matching 2 piece knit set. And I find the black and white sneaker look really cool but bc I see it EVERYWHERE, i am fighting the temptation.

But what's really inspiring me is MAISON Martin Margiela and that extends to Demna, who came from MMM. (Im late to the party! I ignored Balenciaga since Ghesquiere left, but ive started to come across the clothing and it is very much me) For me Vetements/Balenciaga looks more Margiela for me, which also extends to Gap Yeezy. Current Margiela looks like Galliano with basic work wear seperates. While Ive always respected Galliano, his woman was never my style.

My mood has been dillusional avant garde tribal elegance dystopia but comfortable.

I wouldn't say I've phased out my skinny/straight jeans and trousers, but adding 1-2 new pant shapes will definitely refresh the mix. Over the years I've picked up a mix of fitted + slouchier jeans and trousers though, so thankfully there's a nice array of silhouettes to play with. Sneakers are a whole other topic I need to dedicate a post to ... which ones are you eyeing? PS love your very articulate style mood — it's very you! :)

The girlies are wearing the very popular Nike ones (I don't know anything about sneakers). But I saw the Reebok Royal Prime 2.0 for kids. But having 4 pairs of sneakers seems excessive to me, for a non shoe/sneakers person, especially in addition to the rest of my shopping psychosis.

I love the look but it being far too common would bother me.

Ha I recently realized I've become a mini sneakerhead over the last decade or so ... as a non shoe person it appears that my small collection of retro sneakers are some of the hardest working shoes year-round! :)

'Shopping psychosis' sounds like a great name for a band or a guided meditation album btw.
